Psychometrics in Coaching

Psychometrics in Coaching

Last night I had the pleasure to join over 60 coaches and psychologists to test our thinking around psychometrics in coaching.

With so many psychometric tests out there and a virtual room full of creative problem-solving, motivated, inquisitive people the session was full of insights (no pun intended!)

As an EQ-i 2.0 qualified assessor I thought Iโ€™d share with you some of the benefits of using psychometrics in coaching which we discussed last night:

๐ŸŸ  Provides greater insight into the client and provides a framework for discussion

๐ŸŸ  Helpโ€™s clients unlock their thinking and develop their self awareness

๐ŸŸ  Enables the client to be seen and understood

๐ŸŸ  When used in a team it can enable teams to understand each other better and utilise each others skills to help build great teams

๐ŸŸ  A psychometric report lasts beyond the coaching and can be used by the client to continue on their personal and professional development

๐ŸŸ  It can shake the snowglobe - gives the client a different perspective!

If youโ€™ve had a psychometric test carried out, Iโ€™d love to know your thoughts on both itโ€™s benefits and pitfalls โฌ‡๏ธ Comment below โฌ‡๏ธ
